Yvonne Margaret Wesmolan

Yvonne M. Wesmolan, 72, of Colorado Springs passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday February 8, 2017. Yvonne was born on March 9, 1944 in Trinidad, CO to the late Cecil and Amy (Gomez) Gonzales. She married Willard E. “Gene” Wesmolan(deceased) on April 3, 1964; they dated for one month and was married for 43 happy years. Yvonne worked in her early years managing the guest services at the Air Force Academy Field House. She left civil service to care for her aging parents until their passing. She enjoyed shopping for antiques, buying collectibles, going to the flea market and goodwill, making green chili & enchilada’s and spending time with her family.

Yvonne is survived by her three daughters; Amy Sarcomo (Tony), Connie Wesmolan-Whitmire (Brian), Vickie Young (Greg) Her Grandchildren; Terra Sarcomo and her children(great grandchildren) Calogero & Tyberius Sarcomo, TJ Sarcomo and his fiancé, Danielle Johnson and unborn great grandson (ROOSTER), Logan & Chase Whitmire, Kennedi & Ryleigh Young. Her sisters; Lola Jean Long, Connie Veltri (Joe), Ruby Rotondo (Ray), Anita Maldonado and Laura Holtz (Mike). Father-n-Law: Rance Wesmolan Sister-n-laws; Donna Collins (Gerald), Darlene Snow (Richard), Phyllis Lipsky (Mike), Ramona Barton and Reenee Wesmolan. Several nieces, nephews, family and friends!!

She was preceded in death by her parents and her spouse.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday February 23rd at 11:00am at St. Dominic’s on Hwy 85/87 in Fountain, CO 80817.
