
Sonja Dolores Barth Roth, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend passed away in her home at Juniper Village in Mount Joy, PA on the 16th day of August at the age of 95. Born in Collingswood NJ in 1930 on January 25th, she was an extraordinary individual who manifested a positive, pleasant outlook on her life and to all those around her.
Sonja graduated from Collingswood High in 1947 and attended Pierce Business School in Philadelphia and Ursinus College in Collegeville, PA.
Sonja shared nearly 60 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Roy Roth. They were both fluent Norwegians who had many wonderful times together with family and friends. They built a beautiful home while raising their two children Randy, 66 and Richard 61. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, brother Eivind Barth and parents Signe and Eivind Barth Sr.
Sonja was a dedicated homemaker and tireless worker who worked full time secretarial positions for Bausch and Lomb, Reuben Donnelly, James Spring and Wire and retired as the main receptionist at Paoli Memorial Hospital after 15 years of service. One can only imagine the positive effects that Sonja provided to tens of thousands of people entering the hospital under sad circumstances over the years.
