With profound sadness, we announce the passing of our cherished son, brother, uncle, nephew, relative, and friend, Christopher Hlusko, 39, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on Sunday, September 14, 2025. No one else was injured.
Chris was a vibrant individual who left an indelible mark on those who knew him, admiring beauty, talents, and self-expression, especially in people who exuded confidence. As a multifaceted artist, he contributed to the local stage community through singing, dancing, acting, and costuming, and was set to return to the stage in the Fredericksburg Theatre Ensemble's production of Rent. At the time of his passing, Chris took pride in representing Salon 730 at their front desk.
He will be deeply missed by his loved ones, including his father John, mother Christine, sister Tori, brother Paul, sister-in-law Krystal, niece and nephews Luna, Wade, Luke, and William, aunts and uncles Phyllis and Gerry Bautista, James and Deborah Hlusko, Evie Encarnacion, Esting and Baby Pasco, Jun and Vee Pasco, cousins, colleagues, and many dear friends.
We find solace in knowing that Chris is now at peace with his Creator and his beloved grandma Pilar Mamaril savoring his favorite breakfast of eggs, spam, and rice cooked by grandma. He is surrounded by friends Amanda and Luke, engaged in joyful activities such as dancing, singing, acting, in the coolest garb and most colorful outfit.
A celebration of life will be held at 4:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Fox Point Community Center, 6120 Blackstone Blvd, Fredericksburg, VA
We invite everyone who knew and loved Chris to join us in celebrating his life and legacy.
