Devon Justin Davati

Devon Justin Davati, age 29, of King George, Virginia passed away suddenly on Friday, April 19, 2024. His family is deeply saddened by his unexpected death. Devon was born on July 17, 1994, in Norfolk, VA. He was a fun spirited soul who loved being outdoors. He found comfort and peace being in nature. He especially enjoyed four wheeling, target practicing, and camping. More than anything Devon loved gatherings with family and friends. He was a social butterfly and enjoyed engaging in conversations with anyone he met. He especially loved kisses from his dog, Harlequin. He graduated from Stafford High School in 2012 and continued on to receive his Bachelors of Science Degree from Southern New Hampshire University. He was employed by CGI Federal in Falls Church, VA. He worked in the legal area for the Department of Justice supporting the Board of Immigration Appeals. His hard work and dedication to his career had just led him to receive a promotion and he was looking forward to his new position. Devon was a beautiful person inside and out. His laugh was infectious and he loved making people smile. His witty humor was unmatched and he was known to share the latest meme to put a smile on anyone’s face. He cared so deeply for the people around him and made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed. Devon is survived by his parents, Mike and Debra Davati; his sisters, Sohuila Davati Madrid and Ariel Davati de Campos; his brothers, Darryl McDonald, Jr. and Duane McDonald; his grandfather, Yahya Davati, his nephews Cayden Madrid and Rene Campos Davati, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and many caring friends. Devon is preceded in death by his sister, Denise McDonald; his maternal grandparents, Richard and Maureen Carducci, and his paternal grandmother, Taherah Davati. A funeral service for Devon will be held Sunday, April 28, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Mullins & Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Emancipation Hwy., Fredericksburg, Virginia 22401. Following the funeral service, there will be a burial at 3:00 PM at Historyland Memorial Park, 11227 James Madison Pkwy., King George, VA 22485. Pallbearers will be Darryl McDonald (brother), Duane McDonald (brother), Cristian Madrid (brother-in-law), Rene Campos (brother-in-law), Josh Stewart (friend), Kenneth Blakely (friend). In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting family and friends bring a photo or memento to be placed at Devon’s casket to be buried with him.
