Earl was born in 1935 in Wise, Virginia. He was the youngest of six, three brothers and two sisters. He was in the army and served in Korea.
He married Phyllis and they moved to Northern Virginia.
Earl drove a bus for the Metro system in Washington D.C. and then joined the Metro Rail when it opened, as a supervisor.
He and Phyllis had one son, Kenny.
Earl and Phyllis moved to Naples, Florida in 2001 where he spent lots of time playing golf and being very active in his church.
He will be remembered for his kindness and his sly smile when making a joke. He had a wonderful sense of humor.
Earl is survived by his wife Phyllis, his son Kenny and his daughter in law Adrienne.
