Ernest Lee Gray Sr, 92 of Sumerduck passed away at Woodmont Nursing Center on Sunday, July 17, 2011. He is a US Army Veteran of WWII, a member of Henry Knox Field Lodge No. 349 A.F. & A.M., and a former member of the Sumerduck Ruritan Club. He retired from Ft. Belvoir as a plumbing shop foreman in 1984.
He is survived by his three children, Dolores Benthall of Evansville, Indiana, Ernest Gray Jr. and wife, Delores of Sumerduck, and Donald Gray and wife, Vicky of Spotsylvania; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Mona Gray.
The family will receive friends at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg on Sunday, July 24, 2011 from 4-6:00 PM. A service will be held at the funeral home on Monday, July 25, 2011 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in Quantico National Cemetery.
