She is survived by her daughter, Theresa Jarrells; three sons, Mark Newton, Ira Daniel Newton, and Wade Patrick Newton; Half-brother, Basil Moncrief, Jr.; step brother, Roger Moncrief; and five grandchildren, Katelynn Jarrells, Travis Jarrells, Lexi Houck, Hannah Newton, and Jacob Newton; and a great grandson, Asher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myron “Red” Newton and son, Paul Newton.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg from 6-8:00 pm. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be private
