Not having seen my cousin, Jimbo as we called him, in a number of years, I have found this sharing of memories related to his passing. I wanted to say to Marianne and Eddie that he was a great cousin-- making growing up with our Grandmother Irby on Mound Street in Grenada a great treat! His soul was kind an good and sweet. God bless you-- you will miss him, but his spirit is not far away.

I was saddened to hear of Jim’s passing and am very sorry for your loss.  

I’ve known and worked with Jim for over 20 years.  When he offered to help me move back in 2005, I graciously accepted.  And just like he said he would, he was there until all the work was completed.  You could count on Jim. If he said he would do something, he would do it.

Jim loved his children, Marianne and Eddie, and talked of you and your family often.  

As others have mentioned, Jim was always available, friendly, and helpful and he didn’t know how to say “no” to a request.  I always felt that if there was ever anyone I could ask for help, Jim was the one.  He was always a good friend that I could reach out to if I was in need.

Something else about Jim that I loved…. He loved to eat.    I often gave Jim Girl Scout cookies or other treats because I knew he would appreciate them!  

Jim was all these things… and generous with his time and resources.

He was a good friend and will be greatly missed!

I'm Antonio Johnson, known as Tony to Jim, and I want to give all my sympathy and thoughts goes out to family and friends. Jim was  heartfelt, considerate, helpful, friendly, open hearted person, who we will truly be missed. I worked with Jim my whole time here at the USPTO and he has always been dependable, available, selfless, generous and also had a great sense of humor. Jim is and will be missed as we move forward. I appreciate the opportunity to have known and socialized with Jim throughout my lifetime.

Every person leaves something behind when they move on to a new home.  Jim has definitely left us with his signature humor and genuine love for helping others.  I will miss seeing him here.  My heart reaches out to all who loved Jim. 

To the family, you have my deepest sympathy.  Jim has always been a kind man, always willing to lend a helping hand and full of jokes to make you laugh.  Jim could always get you to laugh even if you were having a bad day.  Jim was full of joy.  I will miss his laughter, smile and sense of humor.  If there were more kind people in the world like your dad the world would be so much better. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel and I am sure he is making God smile and helping all the angels.  May peace be with you.
