

He leaves his wife of 57 years, Faith; his daughter, Alice Zenger-Jones; sons, James and David; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and many close friends.
Born and raised in Washington D.C., the son of Earl and Helen Faircloth, he was a lifelong resident of the Washington metropolitan area.
In his early years, Mr. Faircloth and his wife were high school sweethearts, married young and started a family. Mr. Faircloth worked three jobs at a time to provide for his family and went to trade school where he became qualified as a first class steam engineer. He then started a career with Safeway Corporation where he earned a reputation for his wealth of knowledge and the quality of his work, finally retiring after 33 years of dedicated service.
In his retirement years, Mr. Faircloth became an avid and accomplished bowler. He bowled on several teams at the AMF Bowling Alley in Fredericksburg.
A viewing will be held Wednesday November 7, 2012 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm and a funeral service will be held 1:00pm Thursday November 8, 2012 at the Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home Chapel, 1621 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Fredericksburg.
