Kristy is survived by her parents; her three children, Bryce Grantz, Hunter and Rhyan Powell; her grandchildren, Jaxon and Evelyn Espina; brothers John and Billy Lee Allen Grantz: sisters in law, Cheri and Katherine Grantz; and her nieces and nephews, Kent, Colin, Cavin, Sara, Liam and Dalton, all of whom she loved immeasurably.
Kristy was born in Virginia on September 25, 1976, to Richard and Sharon Grantz. Kristy was a graduate of Spotsylvania High School, where she excelled as a majorette, member of the marching band and track and field team. On March 20, June 23, and April 11th respectively, she welcomed into this world her two sons and daughter, who were her greatest accomplishments and contributions to life.
Kristy loved the beach and was most at home in the water. She had an infatuation with dolphins and really all animals, since childhood. She was, what many considered, “the life of the party.” She had an infectious spirit and could solve any problem with the right song. She loved music, spending time with loved ones and helping anyone around her that was struggling. She truly had ambitions of saving the world.
The family of Kristy will receive friends on Saturday 10/30/2021 from 12:30- 1:30pm with a Celebration of Life to follow at 1:30pm in our Fredericksburg Chapel, Ervin Garcia will officiate. Flowers, donations and condolences may be offered at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service. A GoFundMe page has been set up to go towards cost of services, as well as, to support her loving children and grandchildren.
