Lee Powell Abbott

Lee P. Abbott, age 86, went to be with her heavenly father on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was born on October 29, 1935. Lee was preceded in death by her mother, Marie T. Powell, her father, John T. Powell, her sisters, Lyn Defibrie and Jackie Mucci Larson, and her husband, Brent G. Abbott. She is survived by her 3 children, Lynn Bailey, John Abbott and wife Patti, Jeff Abbott and wife Nancy. Also her grandchildren, Jennifer Presley and husband Greg, Kim Davis and husband Melvin, Ali Coy and husband Josh, and Joshua Bailey and wife Alyssa, Jeremy Abbott, Nicole Abbott and Jason Abbott. Great grandchildren include Amber Bouchard, Victoria Bailey, Jenna Decatur, Sophia Bailey and James Coy. Also, her nieces, Marjorie (Honey), Pam, Chele and Terri. She is also survived by her beloved cat of 17 years, B.C. Lee was a long standing member of Spotsylvania Baptist Church and was the pianist for 15 years. Lee was loved by all who knew her and once you met her she was your friend for life. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations to the Alzheimer's Association and/or Mary Washington Hospice.
