Lionel Warren West

L. Warren West, 71, of Fredericksburg, Virginia, died after a long battle with VEXAS and associated complications on July 21, 2022. He was born June 12, 1951 in Norfolk, Virginia to the late Lionel and Mary West.
Warren graduated from Virginia Wesleyan University in 1974 and then the Medical College of Virginia in 1979. Following that graduation, he proudly served in the United States Navy as an officer from 1979 to 1988. During this time, he created his life as a respected oral surgeon alongside his surviving wife, Deena West. They celebrated 46 loving years of marriage in May. They lived In Great lakes, Illinois; Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Charlottesville, Martinsville, Williamsburg, and they finally settled in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
Warren was a loyal member of Masonic Lodge No. 6 out of Williamsburg, where he served as Worshipful Master in 2015, Spotsylvania Lodge No. 26, and Stafford Lodge No. 279, where he cherished all of the experiences and friendships he made.
In addition to his wife, Warren is survived by his three sons, Nicholas, Christopher, and Parker; eight remarkable grandchildren; and his beloved dog, Charlie.
A Memorial Service will be held at Fredericksburg United Methodist Church on August 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM.
Those who wish to celebrate Warren in a special way may make gifts to the Boy Scouts of America in his name as Warren was proud of his time in scouting and the continued tradition through his children and grandchildren
