Mr. Janney served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Army during WWII and the Korean War.
He is survived by his children, Ernest Janney, Vera Janney, and Merlie Chavonelle; his 4 stepchildren; his grandchildren, Adam Janney, David Janney (Ashley), David Boyd (Carol), Keith Boyd, Mark Boyd, Mandy Hurst (Jon), Michele Kendall, and John Bartasek; his great-grandchildren, Brandon Boyd, Jacob Boyd, Tyler Boyd, Theodore Janney, Gwendolyn Janney, Hailey Boyd, Angela Boyd, Brittany Johnson, Jazmine Johnson, Keith Johnson, Jordan Kendall, and Brianna Kendall; and his sister, Helen White.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Martha Janney; his first wife, Enline Janney; his second wife, Lillian Janney; and his son, John Janney.
A funeral service will be held at 11:30am on Monday, March 4, 2019 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
