

Philip C. Booty, 87, WWII Veteran, of The Virginian Living Community in Chesterfield VA died on February 12, 2015. Born on April 17, 1927 in Chicago IL, he attended The Illinois Institute of Technology before serving in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years, then attended the Capital Radio Engineering Institute. He was a mechanical design engineer of military airborne and underwater equipment at various firms, retiring from IBM in 1988.
Survivors include his three sons, Philip C. Booty Jr., of Richmond VA, Jeffery A Booty and wife Sherry, of St. Augustine FL and Kent L. Booty and wife Wynn of Midlothian VA; and three daughters, Diane M. Jones of Mt. Airy, MD, Denise Kaelin and husband Bruno of Burke, VA, and Sheila M. Riley and husband James of Fredericksburg VA.; his brother Donald J. Booty Sr. of Peoria AZ; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Marie R. Booty in 2009, and two brothers, Roger H. Booty and Robert G. Booty.
The family will received friends from 9:30am to 10:30am on February 23, 2015 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, 1621 Jefferson Davis Highway, Fredericksburg VA , followed by an 11am Christian Burial Mass at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Fredericksburg, VA with Burial at Quantico National Cemetery.
