He was a US Army veteran and retired from Safeway after 32 years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents: Ray and Olive Roby; late son: Daryl; sister: Yvonne “Teddi” and brother: Henry “Bub”.
He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Joann; six children: Ronnie, Debbie, Dwayne, Pam, Wanda and Johnny; nine grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister: Reva; six brothers: Marion, Richard, Charles ”Duke”, Joe, John and Gary; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, January 24, 2025 from 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Fredericksburg Chapel, where funeral services will begin at 3:30 PM. Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Kniceley Family Cemetery, WV.
