

Tamara “Tammy” Sue Potter-Pedley, 49, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at High Point Regional Cancer Center. Tammy was born March 13, 1966 in Germany to Wayne Lee and Patricia Ann Wood Potter. She worked for the U.S. Government in the Dept. of Treasury. Tammy loved the outdoors and especially loved camping by the creek. She was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees Association. Tammy was always full of life, and will be missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, John and Dollie Wood and her paternal grandparents, Gordon and Catherine Potter. Tammy is survived by her parents, Wayne Lee Potter Sr. and Patricia Wood Potter of Thomasville; her step-mother, April Norris of Cameron, NC; two brothers, Wayne L. Potter Jr. of Johnson City, TN and Michael T. Potter of Apex, NC; one sister, Michelle L. Potter of Wilmington, NC; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. A memorial service will be conducted at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Home, located at 1621 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Fredricksburg, VA 22401, on Monday October 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Franklin Carrington officiating. Inurnment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Sunday night from 5-7 PM at the funeral home. Following the service on Monday, the family will be hosting a gathering at the Fredricksburg Hospitality House Hotel and Conference Center; located at 2801 Plank Rd. Fredricksburg, VA, from 3-7PM.
