William (Bill) Robert Lenhart, 91, of Fredericksburg passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2018. He was born on April 25, 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. He served in the Army and the Air National Guard before becoming a commercial pilot for 35 years with United Airlines. After retiring, Bill earned his real estate license and started his own small construction business. He built and sold several homes in the Fredericksburg area. Bill was active in the Fredericksburg chapter of Kiwanis and was the director from 2000 to 2001. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Fredericksburg and enjoyed going to Sunday services with his dear friend and companion, Shirley Gosper.
Bill is survived by his son, Roger Lenhart of Davidson, NC; his daughter, Adrienne Ramage of Fairfax, VA; and his grandchildren, Bryan, Michael , Will, Chris and Stephen. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Saturday, November 17 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 825 College Avenue, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
