Louis Dean Nichols

He was born June 22, 1944 in Clarksville, AR, the son of Louis Edward and Murel (Osburn) Nichols.

Dean married Linda Taylor on July 20, 1968 in Freeport, Tx. She survives at their home.

He was a man of faith and was a member of First Baptist Church where he served on the building committee, as a deacon, and Sunday School teacher for many years. He was a classic car enthusiast and enjoyed attending car auctions. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle and fishing. He worked as an industrial insulator and owned Callaway Auto Sales.

Along with his wife of 43 years, Dean will be fondly remembered by two sons, David Nichols of Kingdom City and Jason Nichols and wife Megan of Springhill, Tn.; two daughters, Tammy Burton and husband Mike of Fulton and Laura Schroer and husband Pat of New Bloomfield; brother, Joe Nichols and wife Pat of of Richwood, Tx.; six grandchildren, Mariah Overstreet, Jacob Burton, Chance Schroer, Austin Schroer, Aubrey Nichols, and Jack Nichols; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, James Nichols and Sonny Barron.

Funeral services will be at 11 am on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at First Baptist Church in Fulton with Reverend Dr. Gary Shultz officiating. Interment will follow at Callaway Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the time of service.

In lieu of customary memorials, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to First Baptist Church Building Fund, c/o Debo Funeral Home, 833 Court Street, Fulton, Mo. 65251.
