Bobby was born on July 5, 1949 in Montgomery County, Missouri to the late Charles and Elsie Windsor Hays.
Bobby enjoyed spending his time with his family and friends. He spent a lot of time riding around the back roads listening to country music.
Bobby had worked at a meat locker in Mt. Vernon, Iowa and he was a painter for a period of time. He also worked as a handyman and a lot of the work he did was with his brothers. In his later years, he found a lot of joy playing video games. X Box Grand Theft Auto was his favorite.
He is survived by his daughter, Tessa (Michael) Hays of Iowa; two sons, Wayne Hays and Billy (Elaine) Hays both of Iowa; two brothers, David Hays of Fulton and Tom (Tammy) Hays of Montgomery City, Missouri; four sisters, Ruth (Andy) Andreason of Montgomery City, Joann Maddox of Mexico, Grace Dingledine of Jefferson City and Darlene Cowles of Arizona. Bobby has several nieces and nephews. Three special nieces, Amanda, Irene and Missy. Two very special nieces and care givers, Jacqueline and Felicia along with his good friend, Becky Solis and his grandchildren, Daniel, Austin, Tyler, Sophia, Marissa, Ethan and Hayley.
He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Hays, Maurice Hays and Charles Hays; five sisters, Mary Raines See, Alma Knowoff, Violet Nettles, Martha Holley and Helen Hays; good friend, Leonard Burts and a daughter who was still born, Tammy Wynette Hays.
