Bill was born April 1, 1936, in Pittsboro, North Carolina, a first generation American son of the late Wilhelm Beilschmidt and Elise Haeler Beilschmidt born in Wuppertal, Germany. Bill received a BS degree from Doane University in Nebraska. He served in the
U.S. Army. Bill worked for Western Electric Telephone in St. Louis through all its incarnations, AT & T and Lucent Technologies in Chicago, retiring in 2001 and moving to Fulton.
On September 25, 1965 he was united in marriage to Rebecca (Becky) Wilburn In Grand Junction, Colorado. In addition to his wife, Becky, Bill is survived by two sons, Brent Livingston and his wife, L J of San Diego, CA and Wolf Eli Beylschmidt of Fulton, two granddaughters, Ella May Livingston and Pearl Esperanza Livingston of San Diego, CA. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Bill enjoyed being a Radio Ham Operator, biking, loved motorcycles and tinkering with mechanical things. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Usher and prepared Communion.
A Celebration of Life Service with Rev. Helen Logan officiating, will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the First Presbyterian Church, 718 Court Street, Fulton, Missouri. Family will receive friends at the church before the service from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
