
Born on March 16, 1940, in Fulton, Missouri, he was the son of the late William Guy Ellis and Addie Lucille (Parris) Ellis. His brother, Junior Ray Ellis; nephew, Johnny Dale O’Neal and half-brothers, Vernon C. And Ray Ellis also preceded him in death.
Billy loved his family and his fellow man. He took great pride in the care of his beloved dogs and they were like family to him. He loved to laugh and to go visit family and friends and to enjoy a good meal. Billy worked as a cook for many years at the Fulton State Hospital. Billy loved the Lord and knew he would be seeing his family that had gone before him into the heavenly kingdom.
Survivors include two sisters, Mary Lou Allen of Murrels Inlet, South Carolina and Brenda Reis (Steven) of St. Louis, Missouri; nieces, Bobbi Skinner O’Rourke of Fulton, Sandra Kay Ellis Cunningham (Darwin) of St. Peters, Missouri, Debra McKellar and Alyson McKellar of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Donna Jean O’Neal; nephews, Stephan McKellar of Texas, Vernon R. Ellis of Hermann, Missouri, Vincent J. Ellis of Columbia, Missouri, Russell L. Ellis of Colorado, Jeff Ellis of Mokane and Roger O’Rourke (Bobbi) of Fulton along with several great-nieces.
A celebration of life of William “Billy” Ellis will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, September 19, 2016 at Debo Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial will follow at Steedman Cemetery in Steedman, Missouri. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
