Aileen Nelson

Funeral Services will be at 12:30 p.m. Monday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Aileen Nelson, Gadsden who passed away Friday, January 31, 2014. Rev. Bill Harbison and Rev. Charles Isreal will officiate with burial at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Nelson was a loving wife and mother. She was a caregiver for her family. Mrs. Nelson was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Mattie Sitz, brothers, Willard and Otway Sitz, sister, Beoria Garner and granddaughter, Shayla.

She is survived by her husband, Jack Nelson, daughter, Karen (Gary) Holcomb, sisters, Betty Lou (Ricky) O’Neal, Vestavia Hlls, Jeanice Brock, Huntsville, brother, Byron (Mary) Sitz and special pet, Toby.

Pallbearers will be Will Sitz, Tommy Nelson, Nick Nelson, Jerry Jones, Steve Hart and Gary Stovall.

Honorary pallbearers will be; Dr. J. Todd Cross, thank you for all the care you gave our wife and mother through the years and the support you gave us during these last days.

The family wishes to thank everyone at Amedisys Hospice, nurse, Kelly, and home health aide, Miranda.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Eastside Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.
