

A funeral service will be at 11:00 am Monday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Albert H. Rogers, Jr., 85, of Southside who passed away Friday, August 6 at Riverview Regional Medical Center after an extended illness. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. The Rev. Bo Lloyd will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral Home and Cremation Service directing.
Albert Henry was a life long resident of Gadsden. He was a 1945 graduate of Gadsden High School and a member of the Men’s Brotherhood Sunday School Class at Christ Central Church. Albert was a Master Mason but will always be remembered for his love of gardening, fishing, hunting, and family. He was a kind and loving father and grandfather.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Annie Pearl Rogers, parents, Albert H. Rogers, Sr. and Martha Bass Snyder, and sister, Mary Woods.
He is survived by his sons: William (Brenda) Rogers of Trussville and Frank and (Alice) Rogers of Southside, grandson: Joey Rogers and granddaughter: Nikki (Eric) Geloneck of Zackary, LA, great grandchildren: John Ryan and Eryn Geloneck. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, along with special friends, Greg and Lou Doty.
Visitation will be held at Collier on Monday from 10:00 am till time of service.
