

Anne Jones Hutchins of Rainbow City passed away December 31, 2018. Anne was born December 11, 1921 in Cherokee County, Alabama, grew up in Etowah County, went to Arcadia, Florida to marry Orin Lee Hutchins in 1942, and returned to Etowah County in 1945. She was an active member of the White Springs Baptist Church since 1949. Anne worked at the draft board, the Air Force Depot, and the Social Security Office. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Jacksonville State the same year she retired from Federal service.
A funeral service will be held at Collier-Butler Friday, January 4th at 11:00 a.m. Visitation from 9:00 to 11:00a.m. Burial will be in the Lee Family Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Orin Lee Hutchins, sisters Lillian Lee and Gladys Mary Ellis, her brothers Odell Jones, Oren Jones, Jack Jones, Jim Jones, Billy Ray Jones, Sam Jones, Joe Jones and Fred Jones, and her grandson Christopher A. Hutchins.
She is survived by her sister Sarah (Lou) Havens, her sons Henry Alexander Hutchins (Leila), and Timothy Jones Hutchins (Karen); her seven grandchildren, Adam Hutchins, Marc Hutchins, Mary Jones, Tamara Harshman, Abbi Humphlett, Heather Hutchins, and Matthew Hutchins; and 35 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made in Anne’s name to White Springs Baptist Church or the Lee Family Cemetery Association.
