Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Nowlin Chapel of First Baptist Church of Gadsden for Mrs. Barbara Rayburn, 79, who passed away Thursday, December 26, 2013. Rev. Larry Fuhrman will officiate. Burial will be at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral Home is directing.
Mrs. Rayburn was a loving wife and mother who was adored and cherished by her children and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Major Gardner Silas and Julia Vaughn.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, William W. Rayburn; daughters: Babs Rayburn Goodlett, Becky Rayburn Stone, and Rhonda Rayburn Morgan; 5 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gadsden, or The American Diabetes Foundation.
The family will accept friends from 2:00-3:00 p.m. Sunday at the church prior to the service.
