

Born on July 25, 1943, in Gadsden, Barbara was the daughter of George “Arlie” and Elizabeth “Mimi” Holland. Barbara attended Emma Sansom High School, where she was a majorette and a member of the concert band. Barbara was especially proud of the musical abilities she cultivated while learning to play the French horn and was grateful to have the opportunity to travel around the country as a member of the school’s National Championship Band. She graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1961.
On December 31, 1959, Barbara married her high school sweetheart, Edward "Zack" Roberson. Barbara worked at the Physicians Apothecary in Gadsden until 2011.
Barbara is survived by her husband, Zack; two sons, Michael Zack and Scott Lee; two daughters-in-law, Lori(Mike) and Minette(Scott), three grandsons, Bradley Alan and Andrew David (Mike) and Elijah Zack (Scott); siblings, Kenneth Holland, Monroe Holland, Myra McGriff, and Marvin Holland; and best friend, Judy McCullough. Barbara was predeceased by her mother, Elizabeth “Mimi” Holland; father, George “Arlie” Holland; and sister, Marcy Milner.
Pallbearers will be nephews and friends of the family. Honorary Pallbearers are Charles McGriff, Harold Milner, Booie and Arris Chambers, Jim and Judy McCullough, Terry Harris, Danny and Donna Guest, and all employees of Physicians Apothecary.
The family will receive friends and family at Collier Butler Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. until 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Rainbow Memorial Gardens.
