Betty L. Carr, 85, of Gadsden, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014. The memorial service will be Friday, November 28, 2014, at 2 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Reverend L. Dale Butler will officiate. The family will accept friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Betty was a native of Sutton, West Virginia, and was a resident of Gadsden since 1982.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Vernon R. Carr; daughters Nancy Carr Wedgworth, Cathy A. (Damon) Price; granddaughters, Wendi A. (George) Hardage, Betsy A. Price; and great-granddaughter, Lillian L. Hardage.
A special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Gadsden Health and Rehab Center, and Gadsden Regional staff and emergency care doctors. Extended thanks to all of the good neighbors for their words of sympathy and good food (Karen and John).
