

Memorial Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mr. Billy Ray Chandler, 72, Gadsden who passed away Monday, June 23, 2014. Dr. Scott Hassell and Rev. Dru Strickland will officiate. Cremation Services provided by Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
Mr. Chandler was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. He was a 1961 graduate of Emma Sansom High School and a veteran of the U. S. Army. He retired from the City Of Gadsden in 2001 after many years of service. Mr. Chandler was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Chandler and Novaline Ward.

mother of his children, Paulette Entrekin Chandler
special chosen daughters, Nikki Chandler and Sherri Hudson

step grandchildren, Corbin and Jorden Barron
his beloved pet, Snoopy
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Ray Entrekin, Homer Entrekin, Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Womack, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bragg, Beck Maddox, Matthew Mills, Jason, Adam and Noah Cleveland.
The family requests green plants or donations to the Humane Society Adoption Center, 420 Brook Avenue, Gadsden, AL 35904.
The family extends special thanks to Dr. Steven Sanders, Nurses and Staff of 8th and 9th Floor, as well as, SICU at Gadsden Regional Medical Center. Also, special appreciation to the Doctors and Nurses who assisted with Dialysis while at Gadsden Regional.
The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. until the hour of service Thursday at the funeral home.
