A joint service to celebrate their lives will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m., with the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at New Welcome Baptist Church Cemetery.
Brother Kenneth faithfully served the Lord for many years, preaching His word and pastoring numerous local churches. He was well known throughout the community for sharing the Gospel, loving people, and pointing others to Jesus every opportunity he had.
By his side every step of the way was his devoted wife and best friend, Juanise. She loved her family deeply and was a friend to many. Her ministry was caring for others—especially through cooking—and anyone who sat at her table knew they were truly loved.
Together, Kenneth and Juanise built a life centered on Christ and love. It is only fitting that they were not apart for long, a beautiful reflection of a bond that was strong on earth and is now made whole in Heaven.
They were preceded in death by their infant daughter, Debra Denise Lasseter.
They are survived by their daughters, Elizabeth (Tim) Elliott and Janice (Jason) Gray; grandchildren, Laura Elliott, Megan (Nathan) Williams, J.J. Gray, and Jase Gray; and great-grandchildren, Elliott and Palmer Williams.
