

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 14, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Diane Marks Kohaut, age 60 of Rainbow City, who passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014. Reverend Michael Goldsmith will officiate. The family will accept friends from 12-1:00 PM. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services will direct.
Diane graduated from Emma Sansom High School in 1972. After high school she pursued a degree in nursing from the University of Alabama and graduated in 1976. Diane worked as the nursing supervisor in the Pediatric Nephrology Department of Children’s Hospital for 25 years. She enjoyed reading, music, interior decorating, and traveling, but she also had a love for cats. Above all she had a great love for her niece and nephew.
Diane was preceded in death by her father, James Marks; and special aunt, Clara Marks.
Survivors include her loving mother, Ada Jo marks; sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Mike Bier of Huntsville, AL; beloved niece and nephew, Meghann and Austin Bier; extended family, Dean Bynum, Evelyn Muskett, Harold and Lurlene Smith, Gay Utz ; and her cat, Kisses.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Louise Cornutt, Susan Machen, new special friend, Andrew Hollis; neighbors, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Rains and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dressman; and a host of other wonderful friends.
