
Doris Harper Turner, 81, Rainbow City, passed away March 1, 2014. Doris was a native of Coffee County, GA, and has resided in Etowah County since 1958. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014, in the Chapel at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, with Revs. Don Arnold and Tommy Marshall officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Doris was a faithful member of the Tabernacle Church in Gadsden for 45 years. Her virtues as a wife and mother are described vividly in Proverbs 31.
Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Lillian Smith Harper and her brother, Carl (Yvonne) Harper.
Surviving are her husband of 58 years, W.A. (Art) Turner, daughters, Rose (Chip) Pate and Robin (Davinder) Singh, son, Mark (Lola) Turner, grandsons, Kirby Pate, Bradley and Jeremy Singh. Surviving also are her sister, Dorothy Bradley Patterson, of Orange Park, FL, and nephews and nieces.
Pallbearers will be friends from the Tabernacle Church.
