

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 20, 2010 for Mrs. Dorothy Louise Williams Phillips, age 82, Rainbow City, who passed away Monday, October 18, 2010. Dr. Michael Yopp will officiate with burial to follow at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Phillips was a member of White Springs Baptist Church and was employed by Holy Name of Jesus Hospital. She resided at Gadsden Healthcare and was elected Ms. Gadsden Healthcare 2010 and was also voted Valentine Princess. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lillie Williams; husbands, Colonial Day and Carl J. Phillips; an infant daughter; and daughter, Connie Day Maddox Wesley.
She is survived by daughters, Regina (Chuck) Terrell and Betty Ann Montgomery; son, Cecil Phillips; chosen daughter, Janice Armstrong; grandchildren, April Maddox Cowart, Connie Maddox (Richard) Greene, Bobby Smith, Jr., Betina Smith Pierce, Josh (Jodi) Terrell and Scotty (Katie) Phillips; great grandchildren, Karlie Cowart, Laken, Leah and Lindsay Greene, Bobby Smith III, Laurael Smith, Nolan Terrell, Garrett Perkins, Sara and Kathryn Phillips and Ethan Pierce; sisters, Adele Nolen, Lucy Wise, Lillie B. Wooley, June Price and Sis Day.
Pallbearers will be Josh Terrell, Bobby Smith, Jr., Chuck Terrell, Richard Maddox, Scotty Phillips and Johnny Reed.
The family would like to express a special thanks to the staff of Gadsden Healthcare and Southern Care Hospice.
Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
