Visitation will be held at Collier-Butler Funeral Home, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, AL 35901, on March 28, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Forrest Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his parents Kermit (Dorthy) Henry & Vida Faye (Norman) Ferguson and his brother James (Rita) Henry and his sister Vickie (Harold) Wright.
Gary is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Joan Catherine Henry; his children, Angela (Leonard) Henry, Gregory (Beverly) Henry and Jeffrey (Robyn) Henry; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved brothers and sisters, Phillip (Faye) Henry, Roger (Kathy) Henry, Sarah (Neal) Glassco, Patsy (Jonathan) Carn, Freddie Colvin, Kathy (Gary) Johnson along with extended family and friends who will deeply miss him.
