Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 05, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Collier-Butler Chapel.
Pastor Rod Rochester, Bishop Jonathon Lambert, and Pastor Tommy Marshall will officiate.
Collier-Butler Funeral Home & Cremation Services will officiate.
Jim was born in Selma, Alabama and was a graduate of Southside High School. He was a talented musician, singer, and artist. He loved gospel music, Nascar racing, Alabama football, and was a Star Wars fanatic.
He was preceded in death by his father, James “Bobby” W. Brown, Sr.
and his mother, Dorothy Jean Brown; and grandson, Corey D. Lee.
Jim is survived by his wife of 25 years, Cheri R. Brown; son, Elijah J. (fiance' Shawna Duncan) Brown; daughters, Tami Weinberger, Ashley Duke, Amanda (fiance' Michael Childress) Morgan;
4 granddaughters, 1 grandson, 3 great grandchildren, and 1 furbaby;
brothers, Paul A. Brown, and Michael (Pam) Vinson; Uncle, Arnold (Elodean) Vinson;
and a host of extended family and friends.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Anderson, Chuck Mills, Joseph Mills, Richard Page, Brandon Smith, and Michael Childress.
The family wishes to extend special thanks to Fresenius of Gadsden, the nurses and doctors of St. Vincent’s East CICU, Palliative Care, and Tabernacle Church family.
