James Donald Grant

James Donald Grant, age 83 of Southside, AL went home to our Lord on February 12, 2025. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Collier-Butler Funeral Home. Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. by Rev. Buddy O’Bryant. The burial will be at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery, no graveside service will be held.

Donald was a kind and gentle man that served the Lord with his whole heart and touched all who knew him. An active member of the Body of Christ who built churches and supported missionaries worldwide. He is preceded in death by wife Mary Edna (Spurlock), and brothers Auborn Grant Jr., Grogan Grant and sisters Christine Elrod, Betty Smith and Shirley Pentecost.

He is survived by wife Dianna Marie Grant, Sons James Tyron Grant, Kiowa C. Grant and sisters Geraldine Grant, Brenda Grant and Nello-Ruth Bruner as well as a host of stepchildren, in-laws, grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

The Pallbearers will be Grant Bruner, Chris Henderson, Phillip Ramsey, Garret Grant, Joshua Grant, and Gabriel Grant. An honorary pallbearer will be Dalton Grant.
