Jewell Pentecost Sapp

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 28, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel for Jewell Pentecost Sapp, 91, of Southside, who passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013. The Revs. Bill Drummons and Lauil Thompson will officiate with burial to follow at Pilgrim’s Rest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services, directing.

Mrs. Sapp was a longtime resident of Southside and a member of Southside United Methodist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Sapp; parents, William Ernest and Nannie Leona Burgess Pentecost; sisters, Effie Akridge, Geneva Smith, and Billie Jo; brothers, Clyde Pentecost and Barney Pentecost.

Mrs. Sapp is survived by her son, Allan (Kathy) Sapp of Gallant; grandson, Jeff Sapp; great-grandchildren, Isabella, Austin, Emma, and Sophia; brothers and sisters, Ernestine Vinson, J.C. (Otho) Pentecost, Pete Pentecost, Hugh (Barbara) Pentecost, and Tommy Pentecost; brother-in-laws, Graham Brown and Hugh Akridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be nephews.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to your favorite charity.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
