I’ll always remember Joanne as a great friend.  Special memory ?? When I was sick with the flu, she came to my house and changed the bedding.   Lovely.  Love to Big George & Little George & Jessica.

Joanne and George  were caring friends and neighbors to my parents and others, including the Chandlers, for many years in the Covered Bridge neighborhood.   My family and I are thankful for the many ways and times that they helped my parents through the years. On behalf of my mother, Jane Gardner, and the rest of our family, we offer our sincere sympathy and condolences to the family.   May God continue to comfort and encourage you. 


The last time I saw Joanne was in 1994  when my daughter Anne got married. You all came to MA. for Mimiere's funeral and were all able to attend the wedding. What fun we had.
     I loved  her FB posts. She was truly a remarkable woman.

To Joanne’s family — I am so sorry to hear of Joanne’s death and wanted you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.  I grew up with Joanne in Clinton, TN.  George, Joanne and I were in the same class, and Joanne and I worked several summers together at the local swimming pool.  While Joanne and I lost touch over the years, I have such fond memories of her ability to light up a room with her infectious smile and easy presence.  May your memories of times together, God’s grace and the love of family and friends be of comfort in the days ahead.

Our dear friend, Joanne led a wonderful life!  She was a pillar of our community and helped so many people.
