Kathryn Seale Smith

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Collier-Butler Funeral Home for Mrs. Kathryn Seale Smith, age 84, of Gadsden, who passed away Saturday, January 7, 2012. Rev. Roger Thompson will officiate with burial at Forrest Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Service directing.

Mrs. Smith was a member of First United Methodist Church Gadsden. She was a 1945 graduate of Gadsden High School and graduated from Auburn University in 1949. She served as volunteer at Riverview Regional Medical Center for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Forest Smith; and grandson, Michael Hill.

She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Lewis) Hill and Sharon (Mark) Richard; grandchildren, Chris (Brittney) Hill, Claire Richard, Austin Richard and Meredith Richard; and brother, Joe Ed (Joyce) Seale.

Pallbearers will be Lewis Hill, Chris Hill, Mark Richard, Austin Richard, Jeppy Owens and Joe Lee Seale.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to First United Methodist Church Gadsden Building Fund.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at Collier-Butler.
