Mrs. Stanley was preceded in death by her husband, William (Bill) Stanley; her only child/son, James Kermit Stanley; and parents Kermit and Dorothy Smith.
She is survived by her brother, Albert “AL” and his wife Shirley Jean Smith, whom she claimed and loved as her real “sister”! Kay was a “Sweetheart”, both a sister and a real friend.
Kay attended Glencoe High School and was selected by Dr. Susan Silvercruys, world renowned sculptor in 1967 to be the live model for the 9 foot tall, ton-and-half bronze statue of Princess Noccalula, which stands at Noccalula Falls today.
