Private family graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 26, 2014 at Forrest Cemetery for Lowell V. Brown, 80, of Gadsden, who passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Dr. Craig Carlise will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mr. Brown retired from Goodyear after 35 years. He was a graduate of Gadsden High School and a member of Twelfth Street Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lula and C. W. Brown; and his brothers, Olen Brown, and Cecil Brown.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Rebecca; daughter, Diane Lee; sons, Wm Carey Brown, and David V. (Vickie) Brown; grandchildren, Lowell S. Brown, Chelsea Brown, Tameka (Harold) Barba, and Carlina Payton; 3 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kay (Ronald) Gray, and Jane B. Wright; brother-in-law, Wyatt Sieber; an aunt; and several nieces and nephews.
There will be no visitation.
