
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Lucille Moseley Lockridge, 95, of Rainbow City, who passed away Sunday, July 28, 2013. Rev. Mike Hengle will officiate. Burial will be at Forrest Mausoleum. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.
Mrs. Lockridge was born in Cherokee County, Alabama, daughter of the late Elias and Willie Kennedy Moseley. She was a founding member of Parkway Community Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Homer Doyle Lockridge; brother, Max Moseley; sisters, Audrey Tinsley, and Iva Lee Moseley.
Mrs. Lockridge is survived by her sons: Michael Doyle (Rachel) Lockridge, and William “Bill” Moseley (Brenda) Lockridge; brother, Dr. Philip (Ruth) Moseley, of Roanoke, AL; sister-in-law, Peggy Lockridge Pearson, of Cedar, Bluff, AL; 9 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
A special thank you to her caregivers and Alacare Hospice.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Parkway Community Church.
The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service.
