

Originally from Gadsden, Alabama, Marjorie spent most of her life there, building a life centered around family, love, and quiet strength. She was a woman whose kindness and giving spirit left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Marjorie dedicated over 30 years of her life working at Baptist Hospital, where she faithfully served until her retirement. After retiring, she and her husband moved to North Alabama, where they owned and operated several restaurants together for a number of years. Upon his retirement, they returned to Gadsden, where Marjorie became the resident manager of Williamsburg Townhomes. She later worked in the office at Southtown Management, where she was well respected and deeply appreciated by her tenants, many of whom loved her for her kindness and care. She remained with Williamsburg Townhomes and Southtown Management for 23 years before retiring and moving to North Alabama to live with her son, Mark. During her later years there, she courageously battled Alzheimer’s disease.
Marjorie was a devoted mother and a steady, loving presence. She had a special way of making people feel cared for, offering comfort, understanding, and warmth without hesitation. Her home was a place of welcome, where simple moments became lasting memories. She was a faithful member of Crosspoint Community Church, where she sang in the choir and found joy in her faith and fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Elizabeth Presley; her husband, Milford Womack Sr.; and her siblings, Julia Ann Neal, Joyce Neal, Lena Adkison, Opel Simpson, Sonny Presley, Raymond Presley, Richard Presley, Dorothy Sims, and Linda Stallings.
She is survived by her brother, Gene Presley; her sister, Patricia Couch; her children, Starr (Lori) Womack, Kim (Jack) White, and Mark (Jolie) Womack; her grandchildren, Nathan (Jennifer) DeWeese, Jonathan (Annice) DeWeese, Ashley (Taylor) Beddingfield, Brianna (Josh) Champion, Alexa (Jay) Napp, and Harrison (Hannah) Womack; her great-grandchildren, Isaiah, Olivia, Jericho and Delta DeWeese, Liam and Isaac DeWeese, Mabrey and Hannah Beddingfield, and James David Womack; along with many other loved ones who will continue to carry her memory forward.
The family will receive friends and loved ones at Collier-Butler Funeral Home in Gadsden, Alabama, on Friday, April 17, 2026. Family will be received at 11:00 a.m., friends at 12:00 p.m., and funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., officiated by Pastor Bruce Word. She will be laid to rest at Forrest Cemetery in Gadsden, Alabama, beside her beloved husband.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southern Care New Beacon Hospice of Decatur, and the compassionate staff—Amanda, Rayleigh, Kendall, Kim, Allen, and all others who provided care and support during this time.
Pallbearers will be Josh Champion, Jay Napp, Taylor Beddingfield, Chris Brown, Larry Couch, and Keith Lowman.
Marjorie will be remembered for the love she gave so freely and the life she lived with grace and dignity. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
Marjorie June Womack will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
