Funeral services for Mrs. Maxine B. Walden, 89, of Gadsden, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013, at Collier-Butler Chapel. Brother Terry Tibbs will officiate. Burial will follow at Crestwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday prior to the services. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Walden was a member of Briarwood Baptist Church and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was also an Elder of the Northeast Alabama Cherokee.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jim Walden; her parents; and all of her brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Walden is survived by her sons, Rick Walden and Buddy (Sara) Walden; daughters, Frieda Walden and Sharon Manos; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Tony Walden, Jim Walden, Wade Cleveland, Stephen Hughes, Michael Manos, Rock Dickerson, Chris Whitehead and Jack Page.
