

Michael James Brown went to be with our Lord on March 25, 2024 at the age of 64. Memorial Mass will be on Thursday, April 4th at Saint James Catholic Church. Father Jose Chacko will officiate the funeral and inurnment.
Michael was a graduate of Southside High School, Class of 1978. He served in the United States Air Force for 8 years and resided in Gadsden most of his life. Michael was a member of Saint James Catholic Church and a devoted member of the church choir. He was also a former member of the Knights of Columbus. Michael was employed at Winn Dixie in Rainbow City. He was previously employed at Gulf States Steel, Sears and Inteva. Michael enjoyed bowling, watching sports, especially Alabama football and Atlanta Braves baseball. He was an avid listener of country music. Michael was a good friend and cared deeply for others. Most of all, he loved his family and his family loved him.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Jo Brown. He is survived by his daughter, Precious (Robert) Rowell and granddaughter, Catalina; parents, James and Doris Brown; sisters, Lisa (Panos) Eleftheriou; Lora (Tim) Ramsey; Lynn (Al) Young; brother, Jeff (Tammy) Brown; several nieces and nephews; and special family members, Jordan and Conner Glass.
Memorial donations may be made to the Saint James Church Choir or the Catholic Center of Concern.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at Saint James Catholic Church at 622 Chestnut Street in Gadsden, with the Mass to follow at 2:00 pm on April 4th.
