Funeral services will be Saturday, July 17th, 2021 at 2:00 p.m., at Collier-Butler Chapel for Peggy Ann (Vaughan) Clark, 82, of Dora, AL, who passed away Wednesday, July 14th, 2021. Rev. Ken Mostella will officiate. Interment with The Order of The Eastern Star burial rites will be at Rainbow Memorial Gardens. Arrangements under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services.
Peggy was born in Gadsden, AL on Saturday, November 12th, 1938 to Fred and Nickie Vaughan. Growing up, she studied English and Education and worked as a substitute teacher. She also spent many years working in insurance in both the United States and Germany.
She was married to her husband Billy for 48 years, 28 of them spent traveling while he served in the U.S. Army. Once he retired, they came home to Gadsden where Peggy grew up. She was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Eastern Star and of the senior adult Sunday school class at Dora First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death is her husband, Billy; and parents, Fred and Nickie Vaughan.
Survivors include her children, Barbara Clark (Ken) Mostella, Dora, AL, and Michelle Clark (Michael) Head, Gadsden, AL; grandchildren, Jennifer Mostella (Daniel) Vines, Concord, AL, Katie Mostella (Bradley) Dukes, Vestavia, AL, John Head, Gadsden, AL; her beloved great grandchildren, Bentley Head, Zander and Kennedy Vines, and Amelia Dukes; sister, Donna Jenkins, Gadsden, AL; brother, Rick (Linda) Vaughan; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family would like to express a special thanks to Dr. Erin Contratto, Hope Hospice, and the staff of Covenant Place, Gardendale.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Vines, Brad Dukes, John Head, Jack Phillips, Ronnie Mostella and Michael Head.
The family will receive friends Saturday from noon until time of service at the funeral home.
