Roger Dale Boyd

Roger Dale Boyd, 68, of Gadsden passed away Sunday, May 23, 2021. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Collier-Butler Funeral Chapel with Rev. Barry Alexander and Rev. Randy Duckett officiating. Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Collier-Butler Funeral Home.

Roger was a native and lifelong resident of Gadsden. He was a retired construction worker; wrestling enthusiast and enjoyed football.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Boyd and mother, Lucille Brown.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Boyd; children, Steven Boyd; Kenneth Morgan and Robert (Deborah) Morgan; grandchildren, Nick Morgan; Robert Morgan; Christian Morgan; Dalton Wheeler; Cheyanne Wheeler; Cherokee Wheeler; Christopher Hines; Amber Morgan; Preston Morgan; Cody Morgan; Heaven Morgan and Brandon Bulthuis; brothers, Terry Boyd and Louie (Valerie) Oden; sister, Sharon (Danny) Alexander; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Pallbearers will be Nick and Christian Morgan; Barry Alexander; Brodie Alexander; Chris Bishop and Robert Morgan.

The family would like to extend special thanks to the CCU Nurses and Staff at Riverview Regional Medical Center.

Visitation will be Wednesday at the funeral home from noon until the hour of service.
