Sherry Lee Mason

Sherry Lee Mason, age 71, of Piedmont, Alabama, passed away on February 15th 2025. She was born to Howard Ramsey Sr. and Lillie Pollard on May 12th, 1953. Sherry was a devoted homemaker all of her life, caring for her family with a love and commitment that will be deeply missed.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eugene Mason, as well as her father Howard Ramsey Sr., mother Lillie Pollard, and step dad J.T. Pollard. Sherry was also preceded by her sister, Wanda Mathis, and brothers, Henry Ramsey and Jerry Beam. She also grieves the loss of her great-granddaughter, Octavia Miller.

Sherry is survived by her brothers, Howard Ramsey Jr. and Charles Ramsey; her son Michael Austin (Pamela); and her daughters, Tammy Taylor, Sharon Levens (Steve Miller), and Barbara Johnson (Shad Johnson). She is also survived by her many grandchildren, including Beth Hudgins, Michael Levens Jr., Thomas Stubbs, Courtney Lockridge, Brittney Ward, Brooklynn Levens, Carlie Levens, Kenny Stubbs, Aleesha Miller, Austin Miller, Nolan Miller, Brentley Coggins, Brinton Coggins, Samantha Kyner, Zachary Barker, Richard Martin, Ashley Johnson, Amber Austin, Deanna Austin, Josiah Austin, and LillieFaye Austin. Additionally, Sherry leaves behind 37 great-grandchildren, numerous nephews, nieces, and an extended family of cousins and loved ones.

Pallbearers will include Michael Austin, Sharon Levens, Shad Johnson, Josiah Austin, Richard Martin, and Brooklynn Levens. Honorary Pallbearers will be Steven Miller and Austin Hudgins.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to Harley at Riverview Regional Medical Center's CCU Unit for their compassionate care during Sherry’s final days.

Sherry's memory will live on through her loving family, whose lives were touched by her unwavering love, kindness, and devotion. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Sherry. You were the heart and soul of your family.

A visitation for Sherry will be held Friday, February 21, 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Collier-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, 824 Rainbow Drive, Gadsden, Alabama 35901, followed by a funeral service at 12:30 PM.

Sherry will be laid to rest in Eulaton 1st Baptist Church, 1835 Gate 8 Rd, Anniston, AL 36201.
