Sue Lipscomb

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday-October 21, 2011 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Mrs. Sue Lipscomb, age 82 of Gadsden who went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday-October 18, 2011. Revs. Mark Gidley and Jeremy Jones will officiate with burial at Crestwood Cemetery. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services Directing.

Mrs. Lipscomb was a native and lifelong resident of Etowah County. She was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church and was an avid gospel singer, singing with several trios and quartets through the years. Sue enjoyed going to the Cracker Barrell for breakfast followed by yard sales. She preceded in death by her husband, Ranford L. Lipscomb.

She is survived by her children; Wanda Nicholson, Gail (Romie) Bearden and Jerry (Deborah) Lipscomb, grandchildren; Keith Nicholson, Tracy Walker, Kim Gibson, Elesha Carr and Valerie Wilbourn, great grandchildren; Brandon and Cody Odell, Bethany Nicholson, Hilton Gibson, Kaylie Gibson, Hunter and Zac Carr, Brianna and Austin Wilbourne, several very special friends, nieces and nephews .Pallbearers will be; James Gidley, Hershel Clayton, Louis Wise, Charles Dawson, Ralph Fullerton and S. W. Pence.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.Thursday evening at the funeral home
