Tony Michael Gardner Sr.

Funeral services will be at2:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014 at Collier-Butler Chapel for Tony Michael Gardner, Sr., 60, who passed away Monday, January 6, 2014. Dr. Craig Carlisle and Rev. Bill Abbott will officiate, with a eulogy given by Gen. William Buckler. Burial will be at Mt. View Cemetery, in Webesters Chapel. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services is directing.

One of Mr. Gardner’s greatest joys in life was spending time with his grandchildren, being their “Pop” and hanging out with his friends at the Huddle House. Tony was a kind and generous man who always went out of his way to help others, never asking for anything in return. He was a friend to all who knew him and was loved by many.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Gardner; sons, Michael (Jennifer) Gardner, and Clay Gardner; step-daughter, Hayley (Tim) Gunter; step-son, Kevin Holcombe; grandchildren, Riley Gunter, Alyssa Gardner, and Natalee Gardner; chosen grandchildren, Parker Grace, and Ansley Kate Borders; sister, Sharon (Bill) Cheatle; brothers, Joe (Diana) Gardner, and Randy (Karen) Gardner.

Pallbearers will be: Ed Swafford, David Usry, Randy Belyeu, Gary Belyeu, Larry Dobbs, and Bill Buckler.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses who cared for him during his illness.

The family will accept friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home Friday prior to the service.
