Travis E. Samples

passed way on Sunday, February 04, 2018. Funeral Service will be held today, at 12:30pm at Collier-Butler Chapel, Rev. Phillip Elliott and Rev. Randy Duckett will officiate.Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery.

Travis was a member of Mt. Pisgah Church and retired from Republic Steel after 32 years of employment. Travis served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII and was a member of the Dwight Masonic Lodge #550. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Samples and son, Joseph Samples.

Survivors include his children, Russ (Audrey) Samples, Wanda (Felton) Bobo; grandchildren, Scott Samples, Shane Bobo, Angela Samples, and Chad Samples; great grandchildren, Stephen Samples, Madison (Jacob) Self, Cole O’Bryant, Dillon Busby, and Cara Busby.

Pallbearers will be Charlie Glenn, Andrew Glenn, Jeff Elliott, Jacob Self, Stephen Samples,

and Matthew Samples.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Keith Snead and Joey Hester.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks you to family and friends; Phyllis Hanson, Marie Ragan, and Jan Williams; Amedisys Hospice, and nurses Holley, Kerri, Meghan, and Matt.

The family will receive friends for visitation today, Tuesday, February 06, 2018 from 10:30am until 12:30pm prior to service at Collier-Butler Funeral Home.
